The last stone of the central tower of the current Fernando Blanco Secondary School was placed in 1884. The prominent building dominated Cee, which at that time had no more than 3.000 inhabitants. 185.921,77 pesos were invested in it and the Primary-Secondary School was founded in October, 1886. Vicente Vázque Queipo had the good judgement to submit the design of the building to the Education Programme elaborated by Acisclo Fernández Vallín, important political figure and promoter of several education reforms in nineteenth-century Spain. The Girls´School was built in the site of Fernando Blanco´s family home. Nowdays, it accommodates this Museum innaugurated in 1887. Infants up to seven years old and girls up to fourteen used to be educated here.
